hmm i waited for this one awhile and i must say its not a dissapointment. The graphics look the same as maddens with a small approvement like player detail. What really makes it so real is the sound is unbelievable. Every helmet cracking, trash talking, and hard hit into or over the wall. If you were a little disappointed with maddens small time hits, arena football is a hell of a lot impressive. Very realistic too, since when you hit a guy he might bounce off and get a little shaken up and then a mac linebacker comes from know where and levels him. Another cool feature is how after a play you still control your guy so you can level anyone on the other team if their celebrating or just standing there. Sometimes they call a penalty but not too often for me so far. The bad thing is the running game, you pretty much dont get anywhere unless you work for it by using good moves and technique. Otherwise your gonna get hit hard after a yard or two. The qb scamrbling is okay and the passing is better than ever. Another thing i like is kick returning. The field is only 50 yards so kick returns will either have you get the living hell knocked out of you or you will be sprinting up the sideline (maybe even htting coaches who happen to be on the field! cool feature) and putting up points. I did find passing a little to easy and running wayyy to hard so thats something that needs to be evened out a bit more.Maybe a few features too but online is always great and entertaining.All in all for a first impression arena football will hold me off till the next madden and i will definitely be looking for a new version next year. Oh and The soundtrack is better than ever, all of the rap crap is off and its hard rock at its best. Avenged Sevenfold, Smashing Pumpkins, KORN, Story of the year. And thats just naming a few
