Twilight of the Spirits review

User Rating: 8.9 | Arc: Twilight of the Spirits PS2
When I got Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea there had been any prequels to it, I only knew it had an 8.2 rating and it was an RPG. When I started playing, I found it to be very exciting, the music was very lively and you are able to maneuver yourself at any point on the battle map within your character's running range. There are an assortment of charcters and upgrades to equip so you can customize/adapt to any situation in the game. The main characters are Kharg and Darc, and you play as two sides of the same coin, one lives in the human society and the other a "Deimos wannabe" in the Deimos society. Each of them only knew one of their parents, Kharg only knows Queen Nafia, the leader of the village. Darc only knows his father, the leader of the winged Deimos. The two eventually meet, but both want to kill eachother because they believe that will abolish any question of which society they belong to. The Deimos want to destroy humans, the humans want to destroy Deimos. Another exciting piece in the picture are the spirit stones, 5 stones that if brought together will grant the user limitless power. The Deimos want it to destroy humans and Kharg wants it to return peace to the land, while another side... The Dilzweld army, a high-tech and organized country that is trying to bring the entire human population under their control and are searching for the spirit stones to destroy the Deimos. Kharg eventually wants the same goal, as Paulette's father and Kharg's best friend dies by the hands of Volk, who becomes one of Darc's friends. Eventually Kharg falls into a trap by the Dilzweld army but escapes because he could use magic, but only Deimos and "the chosen warrior" are able to use it... What ensues is a race for the spirit stones across several continents, excitement around every turn as each of the three parties keep running into each other for the spirit stones. However, once the spirit stones are gathered, the hatred between the Deimos and Humans becomes so great that the supreme darkness returns to power and tries to reincarnate the minion of darkness using the stones to open the arc. This exciting game was worth the money and the gameplay lasts for more than a good week's worth of intense battles. There are many boss battles, unique characters and scenes in this game and you are guaranteed to be entertained by it.
