Great for kids or just to relax

User Rating: 8 | Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition WII
Animal Kingdom is aimed at a younger audience (big surprise), but anyone can play and enjoy the challenge. It appeals to any child's love for the great variety of animal life. I bought it because it seemed like Endless Ocean (non-combative, educational). I use it to unwind whenever I've had a hard day at work, or I've played a fighting game for hours.

The game may be meant for kids, but that doesn't mean that taking a good photo is easy. I've taken about 50 photos, and only one has received a 'gold' rating. All the rest are silver, and plenty have been rejected.

There are 15 challenges total that the editor gives you. So it seems like the game might be kind of short, but that's fine for a child's game. I've completed 3 challenges so far, but they have been getting progressively harder (took me 3 tries to get the last one).

The only major thing I would fault the game on is its menu can't be navigated through fast enough. I want to get out there and take photos, not keep sitting there hitting the back menu button 3 or 4 times. But hey, that's a small thing.

If you believe that gaming is about more than endless punching and shooting- give this game a try. It can serve as good distraction in your spare time.
