Getting better.....but still more to do.

User Rating: 8.8 | All-Star Baseball 2002 PS2
All-Star Baseball is a big improvement in quite a few areas, but there are still too many flaws in the game. The good aspects of the game are improved graphics, slightly better analysis and good gameplay in either of the three difficulty settings. The bad part is mostly in part of the AI. There is nothing worse than when the AI makes simple mistakes over and over again. One example, is intentionally walking one batter to face a more dangerous batter, another is that you can only max out on RBIs at 199 get one more and your player is back down to one. Overall, the game is fun but like many games the AI just isn't competitive enough to really get you intensely into the season as you go on. The playoff modes are more entertaining and head to head can be a blast.
