Great game indeed.

User Rating: 8 | Aliens vs. Predator PC

At first sceptical about this title, in the end it proved to be one of the most exciting games I ever played. What we have: three separate campaigns.

A marine campaign that is thrilling killing xenomorphs and fighting bosses like predators. A Predator campaign during which is a real pleasure in killing both humans and aliens. An alien campaign which proves to be the most exciting of them all in both exterminating humans, but especially predators. Thoroughly the game may be regarded as short, it's intense indeed. The characters are well designed, the marine has to fight against really nasty movie-like aliens with acid blood. The aliens move fast enough for them to be hard to target and the predator has heat signature vision. Music is great and the cinematic intermezzos are indeed well proportioned. It's a real pleasure being an alien. Jumping all over, on the ceiling, entering vents, hiding in dark places and harvesting for unwary marines. The alien's speed is awesome. Being predator is fun too. Being able to have two different visions: one for humans and the second for the opposing race: the alien. The thing that I didn't enjoy at all was that it ended too soon and I wished for the game to go on forever. The graphics are great. I don't know how Gamespot could underrate it so.

I replayed Aliens vs Predator because when I had played it years ago I only rated it. The game is pure FPS. You have three races: the human (the marine), the predator and the alien. The most exciting one is the alien, then the predator and finally the marine.

As a colonial marine you have the radar in front of you which tells you where are your enemies. You have though a poor range of weapons.

As a predator you have thermal vision and a special vision which can detect the aliens.

As an alien is the most fun. You can jump on every wall; you have to stay out of light if you don't want to get in trouble.
