Gamespot's review is rather disgraceful -- completely lost credibility

User Rating: 10 | Alien: Isolation PC

I don't know how every tired COD game gets glowing reviews and something as innovative and amazingly detailed and thrilling as Alien Isolation gets a 6? Someone I know suggested that the game makers simply didn't pay Gamespot any money for a review and I have to say I'm inclined to agree. Because there's simply no way their shoddy review reflects the game I was so absorbed by for hours and hours. Again the level of detail is amazing (the future as perceived in the 1970s with clicking machinery and deliberately clunky, fat keyboard interfaces for everything) to the point of being artful. This game has incredible artistry and yes, the mechanics as well are indeed very good. It's tense, it's scary, occasionally frustrating which, in the end, you end up appreciating it for.

I created this account just to add my review and to state that Gamespot simply doesn't know what they're talking about. I don't know how credible a source they were before but it's all out the window with their disgraceful review.

Check out the Angry Joe fellow on Youtube for his review which is not perfect but is WAY more credible and informative. Don't cheat yourself, get this game now!
