Old school sidescrolling fun, extremely difficult though and will have even the most calm people going crazy.
The game itself is really fun and is a nice nod the the old school classic side scrollers and as a result gameplay is quicker, simple and is easily played in a spare 5 minutes. You play as an alien whose space ship has been stolen by the the FBI and as a result you have to play through a campaign slaughtering FBI agents, blowing up buildings and defeating bosses who were clearly designed to the hardest of hardcore gamers. The game plays out were 1 hit kills the enemies, one hit kills you, and this can become rather frustrating while you are getting swarmed by loads of enemies and mini bosses eg, a helicopter. There are many upgrades which our little yellow alien can use, these vary from ice shots to multishots and each upgrade picked up provides a little relief as it also provide you with a shield. However this shield also only has one hit lasting so even with a shield you must tread carefully.
The boss fights are extremely unfair and will result in you dying multiple times before you figure out what to do, and bearing in mind you only have 5 lives in 5 continues, these can quickly be plowed through. The levels which have multiple boss fights are particularly annoying as when you fianally beat both bosses, you will have very few lives left and the game still manages to throw more and more goons at you. This will cause you to throw you controller in disgust as when you die completely you have to restart the whole level.
Overall the game is fun, and is good to relieve abit of boredom in the evening but its major fault is in its difficulty as completing each level becomes a whole game in itself with cheap tactics used to kill you and force you to restart. Worth a few quid but if you are not a particularly good gamer or cannot hold your anger streer clear, this is possibly one of the hardest games ever made.
