First of all you don't have to buy the first game to play the second game because the story is completely different and the graphics in the game is superior for this kind of game. This game has a interesting story line because it's a completely different story but in the same time they make a connection to the first game, a beautiful connection! The game-play is what makes the game so good and i say that the graphics makes the game unique in a good way. The sound is nothing special but not bad as people may say. Even tough i said the the graphics are just right some people say that the graphics could be much better.
Over all thing Advance wars is a great game and it's a must have for all GBA users or DS users
