Starts out easy, but then becomes VERY difficult. No walkthroughs available.

I'm really disappointed with this game. It started out great. Then all of a sudden, I hit a brick wall with the first boss. I canNOT even beGIN to defeat the thing. Die, die, die... I can't stop from dying. It just isn't fun when you just keep dying and are completely unable to even SCRATCH the boss. You die too quickly to try to figure out what the weakness of the boss is. So, I tried to leave and level build by fighting creatures, but I end up spending all of my potions/apples just trying to survive. Can't earn enough money to buy better equips or stock up on healing items, either.
I can't find any help or walkthroughs online, so I'm giving up. I just don't want to waste hours and hours of trying to level up and dying to eventually be able to defeat the first boss. Where is the fun in that? FRUSTRATING.
I LOVE RPGs and I will spend HOURS leveling up and powergaming...but not this time. It is pointlessly frustrating.
