With just about a videogame made for each sport, it's really no suprise 1080 Snowboarding has arrived to tailgrab and '1080' even down some seriously cool slopes, and 1080 Snowboarding doesn't dissapoint. The modes of play in 1080 Snowboarding come down to Championship, Time Attack, 2P Versus, a trick mode and practise. Championship is your basic 'win race to proceed' kind of gameplay. You select a boarder, a board, and then the fun begins. Each boarder has his or her own qualities, and not one is the same. Each board is similiar, having better traction, speed or turning. Beating the championship on the easy difficulty will unlock the 'medium' difficulty, and upon beating that the appropriately named 'hard' is unlocked. Each new difficulty adds a new track to the championship, making the replay value high.

2P versus, is just that...two people racing each other. Trick attack is where you try to get the most points before time runs out. Practise is where you can go to practise your tricks and learn the courses. Time attack is a good mode where you try to beat the courses and get the best time possible.

Each of the courses are well detailed, featuring snowflakes constantly falling, trees, scrubs, jumps, lakes, etc are very well done. Some are through forests, on lakes, through snow covered villages, down ravines and the like. Your character has a damage meter, and when you crash into any of these obstacles, it will take an amount out of meter. When your meter is completely red, your character is zonked and has to retire from the race. It's a decent feature, and it adds a sense of realism, showing that you aren't invincible and snowboarding is a dangerous sport.

The sound in 1080 is decent, and it's what you'd expect from a snowboarding game. From the title song, to the tunes throughout the levels you're sure to enjoy it. Overall 1080 Snowboarding is a great game, and is definately the best snowboarding game out there.
