they added new things in Vol.2 like bike customization, Armor & Accessory upgrades, new items, new spells, weapon weakness, quick weapon switch (but you have to use a skill at the skill trigger), weapon use of the SCYTHE, dual sword combos gone from 4 to 7, heavy sword can now charge up to 3 bars plus you can move while charging. when you have the "OWN KING" when you defeated doppelganger at Vol.1, you have to defeat him again to obtain these most powerfull weapon in Vol.2 the Haines Invasion, Shadow, & Zero(but its easier said than done). oh and the Crimson VS its ok ill give the card game a 5 out of 10
though the bad thing is you have to do the bikman quest, animal mania quest, bounty hunter quest all over again.
the into from the beginning isn't as intense as it was in vol.1. some of the questions will be answered. i would recommend playing the .Hack//GU Vol1 first or you'll be confused about the story line in Vol.2
