I had a connection with The Boys and Dune lore. I did not care about a melanin count or dick. Being normal is awesome lol.
Yet you are lying to yourself. If Batman is all of a sudden a black female then you don't care? 🤣🤣
That's normal? 🤣🤣

When it comes to a well established main character with such cultural significance as Batman, yes it might effect the quality and outlook. Which is why I'm saying most of the time and usually.
Making Batman a black female would be be silly and stupid. Very easy for me to say since I'm not a far leftist. I would laugh at it and call it dumb. I probably wouldn't do much more than that, depending on what you considering "caring". But to be fair, I would also probably laugh at people who got overly upset at it, tbh. Like burning Batman dolls and shirts, or other nonsense. Or boycotts.
Again these are extreme examples and hypotheticals. The WH40K changes are relatively tame compared to this Batman hypothetical or that dumb Cleopatra show, and even less than the ones found in The Boys and Dune. Both of which are quite stellar.

"Rings of Power" put DEI front and center race swapping entire species. No there were no elves with " black characteristics". They spent more money on thst show than any show in history and critics enjoyed it yet fans hated it and it failed miserably.
Again, multiple media have more race and gender swaps than TRoP and are considerably more successful and highly rated. Hell, from the same company at that. That show has some mixed reviews, primarily based off writing and acting. A black elf and dwarf were not the reason for this.
Apart from the most extreme examples/hypotheticals, this really isn't what effects quality. The WH40K show has every right to be as good as anything else even with this minor change. It boils down to the quality of the work.
