Marvel Studios Boss Promotes Deadpool And Wolverine With F-Bombs

Kevin Feige is fully embracing the MCU's first R-rated movie.

According to Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige, Deadpool and Wolverine is "f**king awesome." And the F-bombs didn't stop there from the man who oversees the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Hollywood Reporter says Feige leaned into the explicit language to promote Deadpool and Wolverine at CinemaCon this week. For years now, Feige has promised the third Deadpool film would be rated R, which will be a first for an MCU flick.

The Marvel Studios boss wasn't the only one dropping F-bombs at the event. In a PSA, Wolverine (portrayed by Hugh Jackson) loses his cool and reportedly got creative with his language to yell at people to turn off their phones at CinemaCon in a taped bit. Of course, Deadpool (portrayed by Ryan Reynolds) joined in the f**king fun as well while promoting the movie. He's known as the Merc with a Mouth for good reason.

The event also brought word that Deadpool himself is designing a popcorn bucket.

As for Wolverine, the superhero may finally do something he's never done in a movie for Deadpool 3. A new promotional cup shown off at CinemaCon featured the mutant sporting his iconic mask. This would be the first time Jackman as Wolverine has worn a cowl on the silver screen in 25 years.

Deadpool and Wolverine will be the only MCU film released this entire year. However, that's not because of superhero fatigue, per Disney CEO Bob Iger. He believes the problem has been quality.
