Another Classic Genesis game gone but not forgotten!

User Rating: 9.9 | Zombies Ate My Neighbors GEN
"Zombies Ate My Neighbors" is the GTA:San Andreas AND the Halo of the Sega Genesis. No other Genesis game had such heart and original development as this title. You play as either a random teenage boy or girl as you span a massive 50+ levels, picking up random weapons such as a bazooka, popsicles, water guns, plates and silverware to aid you in the eradication of various monsters -- Warewolfs, Zombies, Spiders, Mummies, Aliens, The Creature of the Blue Lagoon -- who threaten to destroy your home town. You explore homes, football fields, neighborhoods, pyramids, deserts, shopping malls, and many other typical scenarios from campy horror movies. As for the Gameplay... For a Genesis game, the graphics and especially the sound were extremely impressive. The gameplay itself was solid! Extremely fun! As previously indicated, this game features over 50 levels, and in addition a couple of bonus levels which are extremely intricate for gaining bonus points. In addition to the many guns you pick up, you also come across many tools, such as blow up clowns, holy hand grenades, and other related paraphernalia that is extremely helpful for stronger enemies or groups. Or just for the sheer pleasure! Controls are easy, and the game itself is presented in an early GTA stylistic birds-eye-view picture. I strongly recommend going out of your way to pick this up if you're fiending for a Classic Genesis game! 9.9/10
