User Rating: 5.5 | Zombie Driver PC
Zombie Driver is a game released on Steam that lets you drive around and run over zombies while occasionally blasting them with all manner of heavy weaponry.

If the above description sounds good to you, well you might as well go ahead and buy the game now! If you want to do anything else in a game, then you should probably look elsewhere, because driving around and shooting zombies is all you will do in this game.

Zombie Driver is played from a top-down perspective much like the classic pre-GTA3 Grand Theft Auto games. The main mode of play has you tackling a handful of missions that see you drive to a specific location, kill all the zombies in the area, and pick up some survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Sometimes you will have to clear an area of zombies without needing to rescue anyone. Usually you are on a time limit of some sort. That, in a nutshell, is all you do in this game. It is thankful then that the campaign can be completed in just a few hours because otherwise it would become really tedious. Even the decent selection of cars and various weapons you can purchase and upgrade between missions adds almost nothing in terms of variety to the game. You still basically spend all your time driving to a set location and killing a bunch of zombies by a combination of shooting them and running them over. Even the free downloadable "Slaughter" mode does nothing to change the monotonous nature of the gameplay. In fact, the Slaughter mode is even more boring because all you do is drive around very small maps and kill unending waves of zombies over and over again without any sense of purpose.

To briefly sum up this already brief review, if you like the idea of driving around in a car and killing zombies, you will probably like this game. If you desire anything else in a game you probably won't.
