Yu Yu Hakusho : Spirit Detective Review Yu Yu Hakusho was , and is a very a very successful anime in Japan. It debuted on American televisions on Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network. I was a big success here as an anime and a manga. Now Atari tries to transport the story onto the Game Boy Advanced. Not so surprising, the game is an Adventure game with and RPG felling. You play as Yusuke; The main character. A boy who died and is brought back to life as a Spirit Detective. Kuwabara; A school yard Thug. Hieh; a demon with three eyes and can control people with said eye. Kurama; a pretty boy demon who has a wolf spirit inside of him. Each character has a unique power. For instance , Kuwabara has a spirit sword in which you can extend. The ultimate spirit attacks are only obtainable when you level up. The game play is very simple . You do regular attacks with B. 2 star attacks with B+R. Ultimate attacks with A+R. You use L to switch between characters when available . When you do your attacks you can lose Spirit Energy , or Hp. You have to recharge before you can do it again. Ultimate attacks specifically will drain you. In the beginning there is a cute little cutscene that shows Yusuke getting hit by a car. Although it’s “ Cute” the GBA can do way better. Since the developed the technology to play cartoons on it. Most people laughed at the graphics when they saw me playing it. I did to. The unlockables suck. After all of the hard work you did, you only get those frustrating mini games that were hard to beat. I only suggest this game to YYH fans. I give it 6.4
