Decent game... could have been better, and better balanced, but if you are a fan of ccg, than this should be fun.

This is a great game, though it does help if you are a fan of the series of Yu Gi Oh. This game features some of the old school cards, ones we have all come to love, and it also features the new ones, the reason I personally quit enjoying the animated series. A nice compelling story line, that is actually fairly difficult to figure out how to advance the story at the beginning of the game, but after that its fairly easy. The online features for the game is awesome. It is very challenging, and that I know of not very many people have decided to cheat in this game while playing via Wi-Fi. Now I will explain the game in separate parts, in more detail.

Cards: Getting cards is kind of fun I think, because you duel, and for each duel according to how you did, you will gain DP, Duelist Points, in which to go to the school store, and buy booster packs. With every level reached, you unlock a new pack, reveling more powerful cards, and better combos. Though most cards come to late. In early packs you really get nothing, than suddenly you get TONS of great cards, which results in the later packs becoming useless, and only worth buying if you decide you want to collect every single card.

Story: The story line of the game is very good. It follows the show very closely. Plus the duels that transpire in the game, are based from the show. The game starts with you the main character arriving at duel academy, shortly after arriving there, Crowler wants you expelled from school. He leads you into different traps, than making you do "hard" duels which are really quit easy. Though I found a glitch, so I could get cards much quicker than the intended pace of the game. The game continues with that, than you get monster spirits, that help you out with stuff. Than eventually some shadow riders come around, trying to gather the seven keys to unlock the seven gates, in which to get the three sacred beast cards. But this was just a quick rundown of the story line, and I can promise you the story line is more complex than this.

Difficulty: Some of you may not agree with me, for me judging the game as hard in its difficulty. I only rated it so, because sometimes the story line duels can be very long and challenging, while others can be won in a few turns, no matter what deck you are using. Though a glitch in the game, can make the game very easy for non story line duels, resulting in people getting board of the game. So the game, in a way, is off balance, and there are a few things that could have been worked out. But overall this is a decent game.

Game Play: The game play is awesome. The animation for the monsters are great, the customization at the beginning of the game that is available for your character is decent. You can choose your hair, eyes, and face. Though with the hair, and the eyes you can not choose your color, simply the style, and the color is kind of default with the style. Its really easy to level, though gathering the experience points to level takes a bit of time. I have played the game for over fifty hours, and I am only level eighteen. Though I spent the first twenty hours of the game doing nothing but leveling. The duelists will eventually register you to their friends list, which enables you to find them, and duel them anytime they are available, without having to travel the entire island, trying to find the only one duelist worth dueling. The game is sort of off balance for the fact that the story line duels are either really really really easy, and can be won in a matter of a few turns, and others you lose six times in a role before beating him. So sometimes the game can become frustrating.

Though this concludes my review of the game. Though I do HIGHLY recommend this game to whoever likes role playing, card game style games. Very entertaining, and some interesting choices for the cards.
