Lights, Camera, Kin-Action!

User Rating: 8 | Yoostar 2: In The Movies X360
Was Looking for ward to this game having bought the kinect early and bought all best games on launch was eager to try out the next lot of games and being a big film fan i decided to pre order Yoostar 2.
Not knowing what i was getting myself into and wondering if this new games developer could pull something out of the bag- i decided to wing it.
First of all the thing that attracted me to this game was the amount of film scenes (80 well about 50 and 30 background footage n scenes) plus the amount of downloadable content available (meant to be over 100 planned).
Second thing that attracted me to this game was uploading your efforts to social networks (Facebook and Twitter) - which then goes on to get reviewed and awarded by your friends to gain you points!

Lighting*
When setting up the Kinect for Yoostar 2 you need to set up the lighting and contrast for your room to get the best results, i found that Daylight works best followed by a placed lamp in front of you if the lights are behind. I've also been told that the contrast between clothing and background matters too for e.g. black shirt is best results for if you have white walls and vice versa.
Really if you have bad lighting you should rent this game out first as when i first set it up i had terrible blocky effects around my body on screen and it looks shocking- the Daylight worked best for me, but don't watch the Yoostar 2 adverts as there all set up and not accurate at all.

The Game itself is great, there's a few modes- quick play and story mode where you unlock more scenes as you go along, good selection of movies too ranging from latest Kick Ass right back to Frankenstein in black and white! I've already uploaded my versions of Blues Brothers, King Kong, The Terminator, Karate Kid and Rocky 6.

Bad points*
The controls are a bit loose, controlling your way around the menu's can be a right pain in the A** sometimes as hand movements are too sensitive.
Although Twitter and Facebook uploads are great- it all links directly to a Facebook app and in Flash format so not everyone can view the footage, also think Youtube would have been a better link to show off the clips.
Extra clips- cost 160 msp each (about £1.50)
