GTA ??? anything less than a 9 is a crime against the Yakuza !
however played the spin off KENZAN on ps3 based during the EDO period
great stuff but no english subtitles or lang , so it was guide and guessing.
But then a yakuza 3 english subtitles..... is like music to my ears. looked
foward to it, and i was suprised to find something more than i hoped for.
So its the mean streets of Tokyo once again on next gen im with kiryu Kazuma, quickly becomming one of my favourite characters in the games world, and once tough ass MOFO. he makes the russian guy on GTA look like a weak back lorry refugee who hasnt eaten in weeks.
the characteriszation in this game is brillant , graphics are great, not uncharted 2 like but still next gen and great, espeically charcter faces and expressions , as if it is a pixar movie for adults. All the characters in this game, look mean tough and physcotic. You have corrupt politicians, drug addicts , rapist , and then you have your honarable chairmans who are just trying to make a living and run a buisness. Its tokyos gritty underworld.
the gameplay will range from you simple walking around shopping in cities Tokyo, okinawa , and the atmosphere is brilliant , you have sea side resort , busy city , people to barge through, and street punks to fight.
then you will find yourself in some violent , bloody fights and remember this is one of those games that will make you want to literally punch someone,
you will find yourself after smashing a traffic cone around some thugs head, screaming at the tv " whos next"
and dont worry the actions IS NOT repetitive , basicaly your moves will increase and you will learn new tricks , many ways to wipe the floor with somone in this game.
Then the mini games which will have you HOOked after you finish the game and even during it ,
you can go fishing, baseball, run away from cops, play hide and seek ect ect
all great.
This game is addictive and will keep you very busy, some levels are fantastic, running into a room with a katana , to find a couple in bed , or being suddenly grabbed by a goon from behind in a chokehold, and find yourself having to press quick movment buttons to get out and smash his head against the wall.
other than the violence , you will be running an orhpanage, helping out the kids
cook , sort out arguments, and just do family things. Nice blend with all the serious things,
The game is very story driven , it just seems like a film . great story , great characters.
like an open world.

maybe more roaming , like GTA , you can roam , but not to GTA extent .
you cant drive cars, but hey for what the game has its great.
TBH this for me is one of the greatest gangster games ever.
to anybody who brought the game imported and is using a guide , i suggest getting this because i used a guide for the kenzan game.... and it ruins the experiance a bit,. This game is much more story driven , and if this game never came out in english ............ i would of never brought it.. it would be too much of a hassel to play , and the experiance would be ruined.
RENT THIS GAME FIRST if you are unsure. but i dont think a rental will be enough.
