Xevious stands up pretty well today as long as you can appreciate the retro presentation. it's a little on the slow side and it's very punishing on the thumbs, what with the manic rate of fire you'll have to maintain at all times, but it's fun and fairly challenging too. Xevious is one of the better shooters on XBLA and deserves some play time, it is a piece of video games history after all. It's gratifying when you've played the levels through several times and you start to learn the enemy attack patterns and where to drop the bombs, it's a good memory test. Xevious is not amazing but definately a good game to have on the hard drive for a few plays once in a while.
