Simply put, this is a big dissapointment.

User Rating: 7.5 | Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose PS2
Gameplay: The gameplay is not as bad as some tend to claim. The battlesystem works and is fairly entertaining. The fact that you see the monsters on the field is a nice and the trap feature is a nice touch, but could have worked better. Still, it all tends to get a little boring after a while, and why they chose to do these changes to a system that worked nicely in the previous installment is beyond me.

Graphics: One word: BORING. It looks good enough, but is at the same time very bland. I hate what they did to the characters, now they look horribly stiff and uninteresting. I hate the faces, especially the eyes, they look as emotionless as they can get.

Sound: Again: BORING. I hate the soundtrack. Japanese elevator music. The voices are pretty good, but what the hell happened to KOS-MOS?!

Value: The game is not very long, and you sure as hell will not play this again.

The story in the first game was promising, and this one follows it nicely I guess, but I found myself bored at times. This game killed the Xenosaga for me as I realized this series will never be on par with the incredible game that is Xenogears.
