The genre of Jrpg has yet to die!

User Rating: 9.5 | Xenoblade WII
Xenoblade is possibly one of the best jrpg of its generation. considering many factors that i will bring up shortly, i highly recommend this title to everyone including people who are not fans of jrpg.

----Good----
the world is vast and wide with many places to explore, even when you think you have seen it all there are still surprises to come. unlike other rpgs where you would see vast mountains and forests in the background as wallpaper(for lack of a better word) xenoblade actually allows you to explore those far off places and has content within those areas. the overwhelming cliff that seems to just be a path blocker is actually a new location where u can go to.

the battle system is refreshing and is also in real time. its a feel of white knight chronicles and final fantasy and is really well blended together for a magnificent experience. there are many skills to learn along with affinity charts with other characters that can affect gameplay.

the different variety of armors and weapons comes into play as any other classic jrpg but any different equipment you equip does change the appearance of each character and is even worn through cut scenes. the eye candy of each type of gear you have on adds on to the pleasure of the player as they watch through cut scenes and fight through battles.

there are plenty of side quests to do that adds on more pleasure in playing this game along with the excellent story line that will make u spend endless hours playing. the side quests however can be turned in and completed the moment u complete it and not force u to run back and find the original npc to complete it. bringing up the running back to note, though the world is vast traversing back to previously seen places is not as much of a chore as it sounds. there is a teleportation system that will allow you to port to any previously acquired landmark. thus making your traveling much faster.

this game has all the good aspects of a jrpg while throwing away msot if not all bad aspects.

-----the bad------

the only thing i can actually say that is bad about xenoblade is possibly that its graphically limited. seems like it could have been better portrayed on a stronger console. even though i say this, xenoblade is still magnificently done and beautiful. it really shows what the wii is made of.

---conclusion---

any who has or is already playing this game will be able to tell that i have yet to cover all the good aspects of this game. i leave those unanswered questions for you guys to try it out yourself and find out the remaining brilliant and fun aspects within the game.
a really well made title and it deserves the praise of everyone who enjoys games. this is one of those titles that will remain in our history of gaming for many years to come.
