A long time coming for a good X-Com remake, after the many failed attempts I almost skipped this one, glad I didn't.

So far this game is fantastic, it's been so long since anyone has really managed to re-capture that magic that the original X-Com had. So far I'm already highly addicted and loving that gentle touches they did to add to what the original had. The better connection you have to the soldiers thanks to your ability to select abilities for them (though I wish you could somehow choose their initial class) and preset their load out really makes the game that much more interesting.

The only issue I have had so far is that the UI could use some tweaking. Sometimes it seems like you get stuck in an action for a soldier and backing out of it requires some less than intuitive steps. Also its annoying that special actions get rearranged for each soldier (based on their setup I guess) such that abilities all soldiers have appear on different short keys (i.e overlook is 2 or most but it gets moved around to 1 or 3 or 5 for others) so you always have to look around or click to get to their abilities. Still though they have done a good job of making most of the UI quick to navigate and not very cumbersome.
