X-TREME TEDIUM. There are a lot of roles that I'd l like to be, but a long haul trucker is not one of them.

Yeah, you heard me, I'm not interested in becoming a long haul trucker in space. The ultimate aim in this game is not battling evil, but buying low and selling high.
You are a pilot flying a prototype "faster -than-light" craft, but during the course of the experiment, something goes wrong and you get sucked into some other galaxy filled with aliens called the Taladi. They proceed to give you equipment, shields on condition that you pay them back. Now,i dint figure all this by hearing the story, simply because I couldn't understand ,no matter how high I set my volume, what the alien NPC was saying. It seemed all like radio static to me. The voice over acting is very poor indeed, Almost all stations say the same messages again and again, and sounds and explosions are'nt much to write about.
Perhaps the most irritating part of the game was the time it took to get from one destination to another.I made some trips in which I was able to make some popcorn before I reached my destination. And I dint find many pirates on the way, I was sometimes able to leave my computer for long periods of time without anything happening. You can fly absolutely straight for half an hour, and nothing absolutely happens. There's a time compression device that you can buy, though it dint reduce the time much. The graphics of the game are pretty ok, and are quite good. You can ignore the story and continue with money making, it's almost as if the developers wanted you to do exactly this.
Overall, I wasn't impressed with the game, and the trips were maddening. Maybe good for people liking an open ended system and business like applications, But I'm not interested in being a trucker. If I wanted to become one,I would have stuck with Freelancer.
