Compare this to RAW 1, then yeas RAW 2 wins, but if you compare it to the Smackdown series RAW 2 just got annhilated

User Rating: 7 | WWE Raw 2 XBOX
RAW 2 shines on the Xbox™ video game system with enhanced graphics, gameplay an all-new story mode. Over 60 WWE Superstars are modeled with intricate detail. Up to eight new fully modeled arenas come to life with 3D crowds, special effects and specular highlighting. Enhanced gameplay controls feature a better grappling experience, more balanced momentum shifts and realistic AI. Raw 2 is my very own paradox, how can something suck and be great at the same time? Well it cant..but it is.

Graphics

The graphic were pretty immersive, they were much improved from the previous Raw, but graphics aren't always the most important thiing in a video game

Sound

Overall the sound is another weak area of the game. For the most part you have all the official music, but it's the sound effects that hurt the most. No dialog in cut scene's, no real voices, just generic grunts and groans mashed together with more generic slams and bangs.

Control

This is the most improved area by far. There is a nice grapple system that while a little on the slow side is easy to use and fun on top of it. Some of the control features are tricky to get the hang of, better documentation could have helped but sadly THQ just didn't seem to care.

Presentation

Overall the presentation is very good. You can customize current WWE stars, and edit entrances, and make your own wrestlers in one of the most in depth CAW modes every conceived. Season mode is also very good, there are many options of things to do when you're not fighting, and while there is no dialog, and the animation is very cheesy it still manages to suck you in and not let go.

The biggest problem overall is the stupid AI, your enemies will come to interfere in your match yet they attack whoever your fighting and leave you alone. When your in a cage match if you start to climb the cage the AI will stop whatever its doing and attempt to climb right along with you, why? I have no idea. Plain and simple the AI sucks.

Overall

At the end of the day it's a decent WWE game, there is plenty of fun to be had despite its GLARING flaws. If you're a fan of the genre you owe it a rental, chances are you will decide to purchase the game even though im sure you will feel somewhat let down. If your not a fan I advise you to skip it for obvious reasons, and why would you be reading this review anyways? Although it may seem I dislike this game, I felt it best to write a review and be honest about the games problems, just know one thing, the game can be very addicting, and I haven't stopped playing since the day it came out, that should be worth something.
