Austin 3:16 says "this game is not all that good either." But it's not as boring as the PS4 version.

I was not a fan of a lot of the changes made to the series on the PlayStation 4; that ironically started with their last edition (WWE 2K15) and it didn't get any better from there. Slow, boring gameplay, unresponsive reversal system, a limited stamina and reversal meter that drags it down even more in my opinion. There's not a lot to love about the PS4 version of WWE 2K16.

However, if you are familiar with the core gameplay from the PS4's predecessor, the PlayStation 3, and WWE 2K14 then you'll leave right at home. Faster gameplay, a more responsive reversal system, no stamina or reversal system to get in your way. Problem is that, obviously, there's nothing new here. Actually no there is some new and that being the new amount of moves, not counting the DLC move list, that are on here. Several of these have never been used in a WWE game in a long time (the Stump Puller comes to mind) while others are straight out of WWE's comfort zone (I.E: Japanese wrestling 'strong style' and independent wrestling promotions scattered across the globe) that is a sight to behold that moves like those made it into the ring. I guess it helps when the company signs a lot of talents that wrestle those apparent styles as well, right? Anyways, as stated, not much changes here except for the usual glitches that come along with the territory of WWE games.

The only slightly thing about WWE 2K16 on the PS4 version that I actually like, other than the Austin 3:16 showcase which is also here, is their version of the creation suite. The ability to take ANY wrestler on that roster, and I mean any wrestler, and dress them up in your favorite superhero or villain (or a spin of them at the very least) was loads of fun. The PS3 version, limited and understandingly so. It has 'Superstar Heads' but that's not enough.

Nevertheless, what you see is what you get on the PS3 version of WWE 2K16. The faster gameplay makes up for it, but you can clearly see the age of the series showing more and more on the PlayStation 3. Unless the series gets another overhaul, and for the better, it might not last long on here. Rent at best.
