A new rehash of a great classic, but nothing new.

User Rating: 8 | Worms Reloaded PC
Worms Reloaded is modern game rehash of the old Worms 2D for PC. After many yers since the first 3D worms game, Team 17 attempts to bring out a new version for PC, but which holds almost no new content, and lacks several features of the last exitous Worms World Party (also Worms Armageddon).

If you never played this game, and you hold good view towards 2D-"casual"- games, you should give a try for sure. However, if you are a Worms old fan, you might consider not. I bought the game very soon after it's realize, and there were several (and some considerably important) glitches, which were fixed only after various patches, such as the famous lightbulb glitch, other multiplayer glitches, and some AI problems.

Judging the game today, the game introduces almost no new features to the series, but mantains alive the concept for future implementations. I will only say that the game is basically about Worms in teams which battle through several ways and with a lot weapons in order to eliminate its contricates in a 2D warfield scenary in many shapes and textures. There are other elements such as mines, petrol barrels, weapon crates, tool crates, and medical packs. Your Worms (which are limited to four per team in Worms Realoded, a stepback from it's precesor which allowed eight per team) have a certain number of life (above their heads) and they die either when their lifepoints reach zero or when they dropped into the sea water.

There are some new weapons but others missing. And the AI is not good. It hasn't got any real thinking, it is either stupid or a wargeek, with no intermideatte level and almost no casual misses. But the multiplayer is where Reloaded shines, allowing you to play with other mates online, and replay, if you are a fan, the famous forts game.

The music is generic ambiental and turns somewhat repetitive after a while, whereas the graphics are a bit better and have some new effects which add beauty to the game. If you are not short in budget you should turn into steam and buy it, or give it a try with the demo.
