Best of the many few poker games out there.

User Rating: 8.3 | World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions PS2
The world of card games on consoles hasn't been huge as the poker boom. This game may not save this genre, but it's a step in the right direction. The game is pretty much straight forward. It's all the poker games you would want. There's HORSE, 7 card stud, Omaha, and the now world famous No-Limit Hold Em. The game is nearly a carbon copy of last year's version. This year's version, you can play with 18 well known and some unknown poker pros. The game is easy to pick up for beginners and will challenge the regular pro player. The AI has improved and can adapt to your style of play. New commentary by Lon McEarhern and Norman Chad (as seen on ESPN and ESPN2) and presentation makes the game more appealing to all players. Players will also talk, however the sounds repeat over and over and that can get somewhat boring after a while. Player models improve as well. The new career mode places you in a rookie's shoes and you get Chris Ferguson (world renound poker player and 2000 WSOP Champion) as your mentor. You play various events against other players and try to last as long as possible to gain experience. Winning money matters more so you can enter more high profile tournaments eventually getting you to the "Tournament of Champions". Overall, the game is worth playing and a look or two. Pick it up.
