WSOP 08 could be worse, but it most certainly could have been better

I mostly play poker online, but I enjoy having a portable poker game to play when I travel, waiting around places, etc. First of all, I was very disappointed to find out that the ds version (unlike other platforms) only offers texas hold em. (Other wsop games offer poker variants like razz, stud, H.O.R.S.E. etc.) Playing against the computer controlled opponents is a little rudimentary. They tend to bet and fold wisely, but they seem to think they are playing limit, instead of the more common 3x, 4x, etc. raises. They will often bet the minimum bet even when the pot is huge, which is just bad game play for anyone who wants more of a challenge. One good feature is the heads up "beat the brat" component of the game, which offers you the chance to play pros heads up. The challenge is a little bit better here, with more aggressive and deceptive play. It is nice that there are so many pros in this game, it's kind of cool to "play" pros, but except for the heads up feature, the computer controlled pros play no better or worse than anyone else. All in all, this is a tolerable poker game for the ds, but nothing worth rushing out to get.
