It soon becomes obvious that unless you pay for the better tanks and ammo, you will be a second class citizen in this world. Even at the start, there will be some significantly advantaged players who have paid to buff their stuff and who will out gun and out run your starter tank to a fair-thee-well.

It was frustrating to see my free shells hit, but not score and do damage, time after time. Then, with one counter shot, I was often killed and dead.

The free play is fun for a while, and the maps are really nice. If you are into shelling out real money, you'll enjoy the game immensely. I would have bought some of the better stuff, but when I realized that reloading the premium ammo and fixing the premium tanks will continually drain my wallet, I saw the light and left the world of tanks behind.

A 'pay 1 time' policy that bought the premium stuff, then allowed experience to fix and reload it would have hooked me.

That's my opinion, anyway,
