Awesome game but the micro transaction costs are a little unrealistic.

The games itself is great, my main complaint is that I didnt hear about it earlier, well Ok I have two complaints so lets get that out of the way first.

The micro transactions are a little expensive, if your really serious about the game and want to get out of the crappy weak tanks before next christmas you really need to sink some money into it. The developers have done some sneaky and annoying tricks to make you pay up, for one experience you gain is specific to only a given vehicle, so if you have 1000 experience unused on a tank but your upgrading to the next one up then you will have to pay in order to transfer that experience into "free experience" which can be used anywhere. This can also be achieved with a premium account which can be purchased for different lengths of time but per month is going to run you about $15 which to me is too much for a game 'subscription' even though its not. You can buy "premium tanks" as well which will cost you $10 and up, but the ones Ive bought have been a total waste of money, they are inferior to the regular tanks and cannot be upgraded.

@Devs - You will make ALOT more money if you reduce the premium account fee to say $5 a month, I dont think Ive seen more then 2 people with premium accounts in my 10 or so hours of play so far.

That said, the game itself is very addictive provided your into tanks, the number of tanks to choose for is quite large although you do have to "unlock" them all which will take a staggering amount of time.

The gameplay is smooth, the tanks handle nicle and feel - well - like tanks, my only complaint here is that the sights for aiming should look like the tanks real sights, basically its point and shoot, there is no adjustment for distance or bullet drop that Ive noticed, which makes it a little cheap as you can ping off someone across the map without thinking about it. This also makes the matches pretty short, you get in there and blast eachother and your done, if you actually had to aim the matches would become much more strategic.

Experience you gain is spent on research which you can use to upgrade you trank and eventually unlock the next one in the tree. There is a crew section where you can train your crew but it feels tacked on and pointless, you wont spend a whole lot of time messing with the crew, whatever crew you have does just fine as there is no skill involved in aiming.

Ok so thats alot more then 2 complains I suppose but the game really is fun, it just needs some tweaking but I assure you if this is your thing you will quickly get addicted.

But the game is sitll in relatively early stages and hopefully they money generated from the micro transactions will drive it to new levels so I encourage you to spend some money but maybe not on the premium account, hopefully they will re-think the price on thoes.

All in All, if you like tanks then youll really enjoy this game, though you may be slightly disappointed by the lack of skill it takes to aim.
