World in Conflict rolled onto the Pc and surprised many, including this reviewer

World in Conflict Is a Real Time Tactical Strategy game which many people believed would be just another game. I was surprised when I played it because it was worth much more than my 30 USD.

Story 10/10 - The story is top notch. There isn't much I can say since it might spoil it but the Soviets attack Seattle Washington in fictitious 1989. You have to command your Squad with help from the other characters to take back your country. But the story is much more than this going into past events and at one point is very emotional driven.

Gameplay 9/10 - This game, unlike other strategy games, does not require you to build a base or upgrade tech or gather materials. You have a certain amount of points (we'll say 2500), choose your class (armor, air, support, infantry), and fight! Now when you start each map you have a certain amount of points to buy units. Then over time the points go up until a certain cap point. When a unit is destroyed the points it cost is now put back into the point bank. This keeps the action going and never really makes you feel underpowered. Also you also earn Tactical Aid points which allow you to do extra powerful attacks such as a tank buster, artillery, napalm, carpet bombs, and even tactical nukes. TA points are earned by fortifying and capturing defend points and killing enemy units.

Sound/Music 8/10 - The music in WiC is average. A few good pieces but nothing I really seen being memorable. In a lot of cut scenes the music makes it seem more movie-like which is good. Another note is that the voice acting is really good in this game to

Multiplayer 10/10 - This is probably the main focus point of the game. Unlike the single player mission which is objective based, the multilayer is free roaming which makes it really come alive. There are 3 different game modes, each having different strategies and interesting play styles. Most multiplayer games are played like how I described in the "Gameplay" section of this review

Graphics 10/10 - Graphics are top notch for this game. Explosions are really first class. Everything is just fantastically done in this game and is probably the game's top attractor to the market (next to multiplayer). I do recommend that you have a fairly mid ranged computer to put this graphics very high, and low end computers should probably see if they can run the demo before playing.

Overall 9/10 - A great game. World in Conflict was a great surprise for me and I'm positive that you'll love it to.
