Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus -

In my initial playthrough I came to the realization that I was playing the exact same game as before in Wolfenstein: NO. But after some time with the game, I started to see where the similarities ended. It wasn't until the midway through the second chapter that things felt fresh & alive. B.J.Blazkowicz is

MORE involved this time around, with a bit more flare in his personality which makes progression in the story more enjoyable.

The melee seems to be a little constricting! by that I mean it doesn't feel like striking the enemy does any sort of physical damage, at least from an audible point of view. In other words, it does not sound as if the hits are realistically harming any of the enemies. This is a minor hiccup as it does not in any way affect the overall gameplay. Wolfenstein II: TNC has a more arcing narrative which lends to the supporting casts role in making the second iteration a blast to play.

"Playing to the strengths & weakness of the supporting casts means B.J. DOES NOT have to do the majority of the work this time around"; thankfully the game almost progresses with little effort on the part of the supporting npc's. "With [Frau Engel] as an unrelenting antagonist, it is easy to see why [Grace Walker] is an equal and opposite force to be reckoned with." My time with the game has been well spent, I am just sad that Caroline couldn't be there to see the finale of her dreams realized.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Is "More of the same" in terms of its gameplay, appeal, story, character believability & fun factor. Not to mention its engrossing narrative; overall it's a solid 8 because some aspects of the game were a little repetitive but other than that the game shines with major attitude.
