Having returned to arguably the first game I ever played, can't help but feel an immense satisfaction and nostalgic joy.

It was either Wolfenstein 3D or the original Mario Bros. which welcomed me into the world of gaming and it only seems fitting to make a return after all these years. New gamers will look at the old, tired graphics and dismiss this game as merely another stepping stone in the FPS genre without realizing that this is the game they owe COD and many others to. Albeit, this arcade port does not provide the game with any new content, nor updated graphics, it still manages to offer an immensely satisfying nostalgic return for a timeless classic of gaming. Appropriately, it is still enjoyable shooting Nazi's, monsters, dogs, S.S. and insane boss (IE Mecha-Hitler), and was a blast to plug one's way through the six episodes which contributed so much to the genre. That being said, it was my silent wish that somehow they would have included new episodes or floors, but really, would they ever be able to do this classic justice? Probably not, but you can never have enough of an excellent thing. Selling for a price of 400 MS points, Wolfenstein 3D is worth the price and should be included in every fan of FPS's collection, whether it be for purely nostalgic reasons, or just another incentive to go out and discover hidden treasures and hit the elevator switch to progress to another timeless floor in the evolution of the FPS.
