This will be short - If you like combat sim games, and you don't mind old school graphics and sound - you should check this out - flying engine is very solid, story is good, and FMV movies are mostly well played and cheesy at worst. Other great aspect of the game is branching paths - you can play game few times making different decisions that will affect level order and storyline - I know that today it's nothing special, but then it was something revolutionary. Another thing that stood out at a time the game was released was it's budget - 4 million $ - at that time it was the biggest production of all time! (Avatar of computer games LOL)
There are some minor differences between PC and PSX version - PSX has unstable frame rate/cut out planet surface missions and clunky controls - PC version is better, but it is almost impossible to run it nowadays, so PSX is the only way to go.
Game is long and satisfying - it is something every retro gamer should check.
On PSX 1994 is as far as you can go back in time, so don't miss this opportunity - find this in your used book store or on eBay and play it till you see the ending.
