An amazing, futuristic space western shooter! You'll just wish it lasted longer.

By 1995 it was clear that the Super Nintendo was starting to run out of ideas for new, interesting video game experiences, as it was becoming harder for the 16 bit system to keep up with the new, 32 bit video game systems that were already out on the market by this point. Also, with the ratings system now officially introduced to video games, Nintendo had a hard decision to make. Do they keep their completely kid-friendly image, or embrace, harder, edgier video games into their video game library? Well, due to the success of such over the top video game fighters, Nintendo decided to bite the bullet, and introduce harder, edgier video games into their video game library. One of their first forays into this experience, was this over-looked gem. While this video game probably wasn't the first to take the Western shooter and re-imagine it, this is certainly one of the more innovative experiences made from it. Playing either as a guy named Clint, or a woman named Annie, your job is to play through six stages worth of Wild West stages, only you have a lot of robots, space fighters, and futuristic weapons that are firing at you! And when I say there is a lot of firing, I MEAN that there IS a LOT of firing! The amount of enemies trying to fire at you and hit you, is comparable to "Contra III", which should say a lot about the difficulty of this game! Luckily, you can easily find and locate bombs to do complete damage to all minor enemies on-screen, and different types of guns to do damage to the enemies! Just be careful not to pick up the Pea Shooter weapon, as it will do no damage to enemies! The music, sound effects, control system, and graphics are very impressive by 16 bit standards! On some objects, you can even cause graphic damage to them that remains after you've shot it! And the best part is, this video game is now easily available on the Nintendo Switch Super Nintendo Online Services, which with the rewind future, makes this game a LOT easier to beat than it used to be, but also much shorter as a consequence. But if you want to play a futuristic space western video game, it's hard to go wrong with a game like this. I highly recommend it, to anyone looking for a really unique video game experience. Enough said, true believers!
