This was an excellent choice for a game to come with the first releases of the Nintendo Wii.

User Rating: 9.5 | Wii Sports WII
When the Nintendo Wiis were first released, this was the game that came with the console when you bought it. I must say, if you're looking to get over a hunger for playing virtual sports, this would be an excellent game to pull out and play. You can basically feel like you are there, using your Wii remote to control your Mii as you are playing the game.

I think this game does an excellent job of making you feel like you are really playing. Other than Golf, the gameplay for every sport is accurate and captures the thrill of the sport as it is in real life. When I am playing Golf on here though, I never know if my swing is going to be hard enough, too hard or just right. This is probably what is keeping me from rating this game a perfect 10: I can't ignore little flaws like that, especially considering the circumstances the game was built around and the time it was made. The technology was there for the Golf aspect, I just feel that the ball was dropped there. But other than that, I have trouble finding other flaws with this game (except for the mystery age swing on the workout aspect, but that's not even that bad anyway).

I would give the graphics a pretty good rating too. Considering what the Wii was being built around, the graphics were above and beyond what I could have hoped for. The only thing I would say that I didn't really like about the graphics was the way all the Miis (people) had bodies like bobbleheads. But I'd say that they did well enough with all other aspects that the Miis seem like a tiny molehill in the ground.

9.5/10 is my overall rating for this game.
