A long standing game that never gets old….. As many times as I have played the Carmen Sandiego games I haven’t gotten tired of them so I though let me write a review about the original that started it all. So gumshoe here is my review…. First thing to do when playing “WITWICS?” is to sign in so the game knows you ummmm I mean so you can report for duty. After that you get an assignment which consists of you hunting down a V.I.L.E. henchmen or even Carmen herself before an allotted time. You do this by interrogating the locals to get any clue you can about what the perp looked like and/or where they went. Once you finish up looking in one area use your clues and head to the next. Once you have enough clues check your dossiers and then enter the clues into the crime computer and get a warrant for arrest then continue your hunt. When you get close you will know it because the henchmen will make attempts on your life with a various weapon or you will see the henchmen, once you check all 3 areas where they are hiding they are caught by the bobbies (old fashioned UK cops) All it is, is simple crime solving and information gathering at its best! No fancy graphics, no fancy sound (but still fun and accurate sound) it’s just great gameplay! Now for my 3 pros and 3 cons PROS 1. super fun 2. educational 3. will stand the test of time CONS 1. requires lots of reading so if you can’t read well you can’t play 2. if you only play games that have great graphics and sound I’m sorry this isn’t for you 3. a little repetitive but doesn’t hurt any
