While still fun, coming from the makers of the best rugby game ever, "Jonah Lomu Rugby", I expected so much more.

When I first heard about a sequel to "Jonah Lomu Rugby", I couldn't wait for it to come out. The screenshots told me it had good graphics, and since it was made by Swordfish, I thought it would capture all the fun of Jonah Lomu Rugby, but with updated graphics and players.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Somehow along the way, the got rid of a lot of the flair and fun from "Jonah Lomu Rugby".

It didn't help that EA had bought all the licenses to Rugby, so Swordfish had to make do with making tournaments and players the same but with different names (except for the English and Welsh teams). For example, the World Cup is renamed the World Championship, and All Blacks star Tana Umaga is renamed Ugo Tuohy.

However, you can rename the players to whatever you like, so if you can work out who all the players are supposed to be, then you can have a real team.

The graphics and sound are good, and the commentators usually get it right. The gameplay is pretty fun, but mistakes in the speed and strength of players is also a flaw. For example, England star Jason Robinson is amazingly fast and skillful, while possibly the fastest man in world rugby, Joe Rococoko, never quite has enough speed to get there.

Online play would have been good as well.

Overall, while this game is fun, it could have been a heck of a lot whole lot better.
