Had a chance to be good, but repetive gameplay and forgettable characters hurt in the end.

I reserved this game about a week before it came out knowing there was a 50/50 shot of being good. So first there is a pointless moral system so far at the point I'm in (act 1). The moral system seems like that Ubisoft is saying this is how we want you to play not how you want or you will be punished e.i. people see the news alerts and the cops come. I don't see the point of it, being "evil" isn't about murdering tons of people. Good would be sneaking in getting the information with out ruining people's lives by stealing personal information. Evil would be going in getting the info and taking personal info and destroying lives. That would be a moral choice not to murder or murder every one.

The driving isn't bad when speeding down the road weaving in and out of cars.....until you get to a slight turn then your car turns in to a slip and slide in to a near by tree (which brings me to another point later on). The boats aren't much better, they are slow and have just about the same handling as the cars. The only good part about driving around is hacking a bridge or a street light is fun to stop the cops from chasing you but again gets old. It almost seems like Ubisoft tried to copy GTA V on the handling but failed.

The A.I. doesn't seem to intelligent as I walked about 5 blocks shooting everyone I could with a shotgun. I thought the cops would have shown up after about 15 min no one showed up, so I continued my rampage for about another hour until I gave up and put my gun away and started to walk down the street thinking OK some one will call the cops. It never ended up happening until about an hour later a news alert came on saying that i was a menace, at this point I had change clothes and yet some how it was like I had a big neon sign saying I was the one on the news alert. So I evaded the cops and got out of the car and started to walk and suddenly no one knew me from the news alert that happened 5 mins ago.

Money is way too easy to come by, just walk down the street and get hundreds of thousands of dollars. I did a test, I gave myself about 10 mins to collect as much money as I could. I ended up with about $125,000 in just 10 mins, why is money so easy to come by and it doesn't even play a big part in the game (as of act1). I bought every gun, outfit, and car so far which is almost pointless since cars and guns can be picked up for free.

What's breakable and what should be breakable. So as a slide into a tree that's about the size of a twig and it stops me dead and doesn't break yet the wooden pole that the size of a tree trunk I blow through it and break it in to little tiny pieces. How can a small tree stop a delivery truck dead but a the giant pole shatters when a small car hits it. I found a small wooden fence the a car should fly through with no problem yet I bounce off it like I hit a cement wall. I'm not asking for total realism but if I can fly through a thick pole I should be able to go through the top of a tree as I fly through the air or a rickety fence in a car.

The graphics should be better than they are. I personally don't think they are up to par with the next gen but that may be because Ubisoft released the game for last gen. The character models are good looking but still lack that next gen feel, I hate to compare a game to another but I think the models were much better in AC black flag. The cars are surprisingly good looking but the windows tend to glitch, may only complaint would be when I hit something in a car I want to see damage. I have crash many a time in to a wall and bounced off with no damage to my car.The scenery is pretty good compared to the rest of the graphics.

The main character Aiden is supposed to be a good noble guy to find the killers of his niece but he's just another guy that hacks peoples hidden bank accounts, yet the guy has diabetes or donates to children in Africa. No spoilers but he just doesn't seem like the guy I could feel bad for or feel like he's the victim. His "friends" are introduced in a confusing way, you meet people from Aiden's past but they aren't explained until after the cut scene. It feels as if Ubisoft wants you to be like "ohh ok" but it just make the story just not enjoyable and hard to follow.

My final thoughts are this game could have been really good but they pushed really hard to make a perfect game but it just ended up being a mash up of different games. Some features like the digital trips are fun but get old fast just like the game play. This is one game that will be finished at a slow rate when there is nothing else to do. The online gets very boring after being hacked every time I try to start a mission or try to have fun, it really helps that it can be turned off but the online perks and xp. I cant say that is the worst game but it's not the best game either. I would pay about $30 for this game 60 is a big waste not to mention the 20 I spent on the season pass. Rent before you buy or get it went its used and cheap don't pay full price.
