Retribution takes all the fun aspects of DOW2 and multiplies it by allowing you to play as any race - absolutely fun!
PROs:
- Challenging missions. Depending on toughness level, it'll take you about 15 hrs to get through all missions.
- no detailed micromanagement just tons of action. Yay!
- Beautiful graphics. Nobody does explosions like DOW.
- New and interesting weapon choices.
- Play as any race. The makers of DOW add something new in every game and this aspect was very refreshing. You really get to know more about each race, their weapons, and abilities.
- The Last Standalone is a tremendously addicting coop survival mode where you and 2 others take on up to 20 waves of bad guys. The ability to play as any race has made this portion of the game very entertaining. The coop has a few d-bags out there but for the most part the majority of players are patient, fun, and when you get a team that work together, getting to wave 20 is well worth it. If you are like me, this is where you'll spend a lot of your time.
CONs:
- More missions please!
- The mission maps are repetitive. This isn't a big con as you'll enjoy the various abilities of the different races. Even so, it would have been nice if they mixed this up a bit.
