A game that deserves more attention.

One easy way to introduce a new game might be by comparing it with another similar and well known game. WEE reminds many people of World of Conflict, and having played both games, I have to agree that they are very alike in many ways, such as in terms of graphic, control, UI....However, if we consider WiO a fast-paced action RTS, WEE would be more of a slow-paced, strategic simulator. As a simulation fan myself, I like WEE's comparatively realistic game-play, and only hope there are more simulator elements to it.

Most of the time I spent on the game is on the single player campaign, in which the missions are long, challenging, but fun. Mission by mission you accumulate command stars which you can use to unlock new units, Choose carefully though, because you can't buy everything during the first walk-through. Maps are huge, and often it takes a while for your units to reach their destination; proceed carefully, or your army will disappear half way... Unlike most RTS, all units in WEE have fuel and ammunition elements, which means you need to rearm your army before entering new combat. This certainly adds more realism, but slows you down quite a bit as well. The player needs to manage the supply line well, or some expensive toys will easily end up as sitting ducks. There is no base building in the game. All you have to do is capture zones, increase your reinforcement points, and purchase units.(very much like in WiO). WEE really shines in terms of the amount of units you can deploy. Pretty much everything is included from cold war era to the last few decades, except naval, and some air units. You can customize your decks anyway you like to fit your play style. Multiplayer works pretty much the same as in singleplayer other than you get to fight trickier human opponents. I believe whatever units unlocked in solo mode are available in Multiplayer as well.

I mentioned a few, but important aspects above that should give people a general idea of the game. WEE is sort of a combination of WiO and RUSE but with its own unique elements. It strives a balance between arcade and simulation.
