War of the monsters is without a doubt one of my favourite ps2 games. There is a huge variety of cool monsters to play as, whether you want to play as a huge King Kong like character or a four armed lava monster this game's monsters will not disappoint you. My personal favourite monster is Agamo a big stone monster who for one of his powers actually rips his head off and uses it to hit his enemies. The game delivers a great variety of arenas from cities to volcanoes to space ships!
One problem for me with this game is that after a while story mode gets a bit repetitive because you are just killing the same guys over and over again but that is the only flaw for me. It is often worth doing these story modes to do the awesome final fight and see how you're monster was formed.
Overall War of the Monsters is a great game and is definitely worth you playing.
