Simply the best boardgame conversion ever done. This is the elusive Risk and Axis & Allies for the PC. The beauty of this game is that it can be as deep or simple as you care to make it because of the house rules that can be turned on and off. There's a tech tree to research, blockades, economy, combined arms bonuses and buildings have various effects depending on where you build them and what units are available or what units their built next to. The multiplayer is also excellent. It's quasi real-time PBEM, if all players are online you play realtime, if someone is out you play up until there turn and the game pauses and fires off an email notifing the player that it's his turn to act. Really elegant. Try the demo and you'll immediatly purchase it! If you need a break from RTS give this gem a try.
