A lot of fun...while it lasts.

Wanted, didn't like the movie that much, never read the comic book. But I did like this game. Yes, it does have issues, but overall, the end result, and my final impression is a positive one. Let's start with the good stuff first. Curving bullets is awesome. And watching a bullet fly around a corner and into some poor enemy is really satisfying, and it looks real cool. The cover system works brilliantly, it's quick and easy to use. And when you get used to the powers at your disposal, you'll run around, taking out enemies just like that. However, as you come closer the the final level, you'll meet enemies that are experts at dodging bullets. Regardless of this, the whole game is real easy.

You have two difficulties to choose from in the beginning. "Assassin" and the so called "P***y" difficulty. Really? What's the point of having it? The other "Assassin" option is easy as well, and...well, it's called "P***y" mode. So who's gonna choose that one? I'll tell you who will: NO ONE! I guess it fits the "insulting our audience" stuff from the comics and movie. The game calls you out in a similiar fashion. Calling you a loser and such...it's pretty lame, but who cares? I started skipping the cutcenes almost immediately. The lines spoken by Wesley are so stupid, so dumb and so "in your face b***h" it's ridicilous. But hey, I guess some 13 year olds might find it cool.

All you do in the game is run around shooting dudes. It's very straightforward, uncomplicated fun. I took a brake between every mission so that I wouldn't get bored by it, I can see why it could get repetitive when played for long periods of time. But the game is so short, you may not reach a level of boredom. I do wish there were some vehicle sections, remember the crazy stuff with the cars in the movie. Yeah, it would've been awesome to have something like that in the game as well.

You'll finish the game in, i don't know, 5 hours or so. It has no multiplayer and few extras are worth searching for. Wanted: Weapons of Fate is a fantastic rental, but I can't recommend that you buy it full price.
