Vietcong is a single and multiplayer game and is set during the conflict between American and Vietnam. You have the task to command a group of American soldiers and use their abilities to help you complete your missions.

Myself I prefered the first vietcong, which is also included, as the storyline was much better and there weren't as many 'technical issues' as the second. I like the multiplayer as well as you get to test your wits and skills against many other players on the internet, most of which will probably beat you. The graphics on Vietcong are abit iffy as sometimes you will see the heads of VC dissapear through walls when you kill them. The gameplay itself is innovative and requires you to trek through the Vietnam Jungles with an objective to kill as many VC as you can. Unfortunately sometimes the VC's objective is the same and you must disarm many traps throughout the game. One example of this is the mission 'Tunnel Rat'. You are required to explore a series of underground cities inorder to resue your fellow teamates. Throughout these tunnels you will find grenade traps, cess pits, hundreds of rats, hundreds of VC and even more cess pits. You will have to procede through the mission looking for evidence of where your fellow comrade has been taken and sometimes the mission gets pitch black, quite literally. From there you can procede using flashlights and lightsticks despite the fact that you had a limited supply.

The soundtrack on this game is unique, even though there is no music in the missions, the music on the menus lets you get a taste of the crap they had to listen to back then.

This game isnt the best that I have ever encountered but there are many positive objects about it.
