Zelda: Link's Awakening Is As Good As We Remember | PAX West 2019

Jake and Michael got hands-on with The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening at PAX West 2019. Here's what they thought of the remake.

Many games were playable at PAX West 2019 including the remake of the one of the Game Boy's best, The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It's been 26 years since its original release, but one thing is certain: it's still an absolute joy to play. The remake maintains the classic top-down 2D perspective and gameplay, but switches things up with a completely new look. Its colorful and cute art style makes the game pop and puts a new spin on exploring the dungeons, which are recreated 1-to-1 from the original game.

In the video above, you can see our impressions after completing the third dungeon called Key Cavern. You can get your hands on The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening when it launches for the Nintendo Switch on September 20, 2019.
