State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 are the ones im looking forward to......but they are both a long ways out. In fact, i bet Crackdown gets pushed to 2018. I havent heard squat about it in ages.
They are trying to create this tech that makes full world destruction possible, which is cool, but it seems like a herculean task that is holding the game up.
Ah, maybe they will surprise us and announce a release date at E3 for this fall. Its probably the best case scenario.
Unless there is info out there that i missed....
Cuphead looks amazing but the punishing level of difficulty isnt my bag.
MS has to be working on more. This list is a bit pathetic compared to the PS4. Im glad i own both systems these days but Sony definitely has the edge this year in exclusives.
@Alecmrhand: you were right! Crackdown delayed :p
@Alecmrhand: Honestly I was expecting Crackdown to be cancelled instead of Scalebound, their claims of full world destruction always seemed unrealistic to me. We'll see how it actually pans out.
I agree that this list is rather pathetic, nothing here that interests me since I don't enjoy MP gaming, I hope that E3 has some suprises

@northArrow: it will. It's going to be very interesting either way. Both companies must focus on the games more now. And, I want a good 5 more years out of these machines man! Don't make a ps5 nor an Xbox 2 4K machines still.....
User Lists: 1
@Alecmrhand: There was a stream with the Crackdown 3 devs a few weeks ago where they confirmed they were on time with their Holiday 2017 release AND that it would be supporting 4K on the Scorpio. I don't think it'll be pushed back again.
Sony's lineup is kicking ass this year, that doesn't mean you ditch your Xbox, it just means that it's time to pick up a PS4. We're mid cycle here, it's a great time to own both.
@preacher001: he's right. Next year could be a different story. And the one after that! Just keep slugging it out with games man, both sides! The people will be happy......?
@gollygeeswell: While I agree the PS4 has the volume advantage, their list includes quite a few re hashes and double ups.
Not defending the abysmal list that X1 has, but just saying that of all the PS4 game announced, I was only interested in 3 or 4. I am interested in each game on this list except for Halo Wars 2, to each their own though.
MS does need to do better with exclusives, hopefully they announce some stuff along with the Scorpio reveal at E3!
@jonnyhollywood: Right now, the strength in xbox lies mostly in its BC compatibility. If you haven't given it a shot, though, Quantum Break is an underrated X1 exclusive that should have been a console seller. I'll be on Gears of War after, and probably Resi 7 in VR after that...
@gollygeeswell: At this stage, it's not. We will see what else they come up with for the Scorpio reveal. I'm hoping it is significant. I like console gaming for the simplicity, if it can deliver near PC fidelity, I am very interested, as long as the exclusive line up supports the price.
I just don't get it.
What's the point of having Xbox, if everything comes to pc as well?
MS killed their product before the launch, which is sad.
@pcpirate78: I get what you're saying. MS obviously knows it as well. Low X1 sales are probably to blame for the move, and building win 10 to 'easily' play x1 'ports' of Exclusives, opens the door to millions of players and levels the playing field between PS4 and X1 in terms of sales potential when making a game exclusive to MS. This being true for MS's own development teams. It's a huge gamble that could make or break the Xbox brand. As others have said, though, there are many millions of gamers who don't want to play games on PC and really don't see their console as being less valuable because of Play Anywhere.
@pcpirate78: really like someone else said consoles and computers have been side by side since I was a kid. Played Atari and played Zork series and Logans run on pc. The only difference is pc dorks like to make themselves feel better by being narcissistic !
@pcpirate78: that's like saying why buy clothes at Ross if you can just buy clothes at the mall. Some people just can't afford it and some people would rather save the money. You can buy an Xbox for under 200bucks or you can spend 500plus dollars on a pc and play with cheaters. At that point you might as well get a ps4 pro or Xbox scorpio.
Why even play on pc if you can just get a scorpio and pro.
You just don't understand and if you don't by now you probably won't ever.
Pc and consoles have lived alongside one another for decades.
@pcpirate78: I never understand why people like you think that just because a game is on PC all xbox owners can play that version. I think if you look at statistics, only a small percentage of hardcore gamers have both a current-gen console and a gaming PC and play games on both. Console owners do their gaming on their consoles and PC gamers do their gaming on their gaming PC. Not both. Otherwise why would we have game consoles in the first place? Everybody would just have a gaming PC.
@pcpirate78: agreed. I won't be buying another Xbox ever unless it gets actual exclusives again in the future
@pcpirate78: Are you for real?, Like really, does anyone really have to respond to this?Like really, i'm trying to follow you, but at the same time i feel the need to call you out on how bad your brain cells must be.I'll let you in on a secret, Windows and Xbox are made by the same company, don't tell anyone i told you o.0
@Popa2caps: You're the one who doesn't get it.
If games are made for both platforms, then what's the point of having Xbox then?
PC gets better versions of the games.
@pcpirate78: Tell that to the people who tried playing Quantum Break on PC at launch. It had loads of glitches and issues. My X1 version ran great. Although it wasn't an amazing game, I still enjoyed it.
I don't think we can say one platform gets a better product than the other at this point. But I see why MS is doing the Play Anywhere. They are trying to expand the player base, and they are learning as they go. Sea of Thieves is not going to be a port to PC, it has a dedicated team working on the PC version.
I will most likely always play xbox games on a console. I like the simplicity of it, I'm sure that I'm not the only one.
@jonnyhollywood: I disagree. Quantum Break is wonderful. :)
LOL Whats the point? Well lets see, a good PC cost a good 1000 bucks, you have to constantly fight updates for all the hardware, you have to fight hackers, viruses and malware, and of course in Multi player there are more cheaters then true gamers.
Naaaaaa no reason to own an Xbox One over a PC LMAO. By the way I own both, only I am not some head in the sand PC elitist.
@sdzald: cheaters are not even close to that rampant as you claim and you only get viruses if you're a retard
@pcpirate78: there is a lot difference between pc gaming and console gaming beside performance and game library. The fact that I can pay once for a game, and play it in my living room, or my bedroom pc when the wife takes over the tv is just one plus. I could go on but any non idiot fanboy would know the difference.
@pcpirate78: because you might not have a PC. Hello McFly?
@pcpirate78: You're using "PC" like it means "Best" when "PC" means personal computer. The word people forget is personal, Just because you might have good hardware doesn't mean it's even close to everyone.
PC gets the unlocked version because the devs don't know what you use are everyone uses. You wouldn't want a dev to just say yep i'm sure everyone is using 16 core CPU's and 4 GPU's would you?Consoles are a one thing fits all, same game, looks good could be lower to a personal computer but only if that "PC" have better hardware for games.
Plus i would like to add that because Consoles are getting closer to just getting the same unlocked version because the consoles can use old and new games, we might see a bridge in how content it sent to both devices. My example is PS4 and PS4 pro and the Xbox One and the upcoming Xbox 2 720? Both have games that work on both systems. consoles are becoming more PC and PC is becoming more console. Windows is doing this direct hand with Windows and Xbox. Plus more and more games you get on Xbox work on PC because of the Xbox Windows anywhere thing.
@Popa2caps: Maybe call it the X1 Elite or something, as that brand exists already in the xbox ecosystem.
@consolehaven: They might use "Windows" in the name
@pcpirate78: they make more money on the ecosystem than they do on the physical system. but generally the people who would own only one console are not as likely to also own a gaming grade pc. and most people who are comfortable playing on a pc already have one. it just so happens also that people like me who have both systems and a good pc benefit the most. I was able to move my XB1 to another room and with xbox play anywhere I can choose whichever setting is best at the moment. those first party games are still technically exclusive to the xbox platform anyways, it's not like they'll be uploading forza to steam any time soon.
@bigrob007: you know you could just move your pc to every room with monitor/tv, as well? hdmi plus controller= pc console... i dont know why peoole forget that. i also had a pc, and played it like a console and on monitor. its really not that hard, to connect and adjust the screen.... consoles are about games, and Nintendo gets it. Sony gets it. MS gets the money. also there is this stream thing like playing on a smartphone from sony. and portable switch from nintendo.
about xbox, I played crackdown 1 and 2 and really, really didn't like them. they got bored so fast with the dead world. i played gears of war from the start. god, long hours online with friends playing matches. but after gears of war 1, the franchise just start getting worse and worse. im saying that as a person who has had 3 xboxes, one of them was even elite. and i had about 7 rings of death.
but gotta say, the cartoonish oldschool game looks awesome.
@goobynators: pc weighs 50 lbs, full tower, water cooling with all the trimmings. it's not moving every time I wanna play in the living room. it's about having more options, not compromising to make due. I'm fully aware that it's possible though. but having an xb1 on the other tv is just hassle free. I'll be replacing it with a scorpio this fall. ROD's sucked. I had a launch 360 that failed the same month the elite dropped. I played the elite till I got my day one edition XB1.
crackdown 2 was meh. they really didn't capture what was special about CD1 even though it was almost a carbon copy. I've never played GOW though. Forza was always my go to. Their current lineup leaves plenty to be desired for sure. the move to xbox for windows 10 was not a pointless one however.
Really excited to see where these games are now. Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, and Sea of Thieves looks very promising.
I'm jealous of Cuphead, it looks so good
How long has it been since it was first announced because it feels like an eternity.
@Solaryellow: They were interviewed at the HW2 live special Thursday. Everything in the game is Hand Drawn. That's what has taken so long. Supposedly its out mid 2017.
@Solaryellow: 2015 iirc
As long as none of them get cancelled, this is not a bad lineup so far.
Like Phil said Thursday, these years without the big franchises, Halo or Gears are the fun years to see different games. I look forward to Sea of Thieves (played in Alpha last night), Crackdown 3, and State of Decay, Cuphead. But he also said there are things he wont talk about until E3.
@cainetao11: This is what I am hoping for. I get that PS4 has a huge line up of exclusives, but there are a ton of rehashes and duplicates in that list. When you get down to the nitty gritty, there are maybe 5 I would be excited for.
The X1 list is small, but I have interest in all the titles except for Halo Wars 2, and only one is a remake (Phantom Dust).
@jonnyhollywood: Its entertainment. There will always be people that believe the popular opinion is defacto better. I wonder if they are big La La Land fans as far as movies this Oscar season. It has the most nominations, right? LOL
I give credit where its due. The PS4 is a great console with more, no doubt. But its not necessarily more for me. And that's what entertainment comes down to. What entertains you.
