Waiting for the white version. Then again, I usually need to charge my wireless headphones and a controller at the same time, and there is no elegant solution apart from just the cables...

what a waste of time, why didn't they make it more versatile like plug into a wall by your sofa? so instead of plugging my pad into the usb cable, i still have to get up and place it on the console?? plus i cant play my game like i can with the usb lead attached. frustratingly annoying

Not very convenient if you have a bluetooth adapter for your wireless headset either like wolf503 said add female sub ports to it and it might just work out... Maybe... Also how would the magnets hold up if your ps4 is on a vertical stand? Which mine just so happens to be are they strong enough to hold the controllers vertically? I give a B- on creativity and functionality.

They should have added female ports on the outside to allow you to use those 2 ports if need be. I like the idea cause I like to leave my controller on top of my PS4 when I'm not using it and I hate leaving a loose cable out since it's in my room, on my desk and I'm always worried about getting caught on the wire and pulling the controller or PS4 off the desk. If they can create a version with USB ports on it; I think it'd go from an okay idea to a pretty damn good 1. Although I kind of wonder why they didn't do that to begin with.

What's the point of it being wireless if it has to stay in one place for it to charge?

Not really great in any way of form i think. Specially if u have your machine standing up, like i do. And i dont want to walk over to my PS4 to pick up the controller to play. Its close to my sofa instead, with a long mini usb wire :)

And here I thought they found a way to digitally modulate all-1's over the air, using the amplitude to charge the controllers battery...

Instead, they made another docking station to charge your controller...

Would have been good if they made it with usb ports on the front since it takes up both already.

I still don't get why don't doesn't let us turn the light off. I can turn it off when I use it on my computer, lol, and Sony can't even let us officially do it? People aren't going to forget how to turn it on if they but the eye thing...

They couldn't put 2 usb ports on top of the ones they use to allow people to play AND charge? Seems pretty stupid.

I have one. I like it. The charge light doesn't work on mine though, but I actually prefer it that way so I don't have to stare at the Nyko logo all the time.

I'm sure at some point it will be utilized, but I'm not sure why the Dual Shock 4 has to be equipped with an always-on light that is visible from space. The life of a fully charged controller is about 1/5 of the Dual Shock 3, so I've bought a 10 foot cable and basically play with it plugged in the entire time. That stupid light is blinding and makes it hard to plug the cable into the port on the controller as well!

@haze0986@RobDev@haze0986: an hour? i'd say return your obviously faulty controller if you hadn't voided your warranty.

@trophywhore:

It was confirmed by tech that the light draws extremely little energy from the battery. It is the vibration that should be turned off to conserve battery life.

@layhoma2004@Pelican170: Duuude, I do have it set. God forbid if the thing sits on the couch with you and you move, then it doesnt turn off... Horrible... So it only turns off if it is on a level surface without movement.. Pretty stupid programming...
