I've had a vita for a little more than a year. Indie are most definitely better on the vita, well said. PS Plus keeps games in my backlog. Owning a vita is indeed a no brainer. It's weird a lot of people don't own one. Oh well.

Tearaway - One of the best games I've played in ages. I love the Vita.

Somehow indie games seem better on the vita.

Tom have you tried the remote play from further away than your home like say your work?? I tried it and it works great, i logged in on my ps4 through my vita on my work, through wi fi, and that is roughly 50 km or maybe 31, 32 miles from my home. I played bf4 on my work, the singleplayer then, multiplayer has to have stronger connection, but the single player on that works really fantastic a ps4 game playing on my work ;)

You sounded like you were reading an advertisement. Dude WTF? Are you excited for the Vita at all. I have a 3ds and love portable systems, but hearing you read that in such a mundane unexcited tone made me not want to get one. Either you need to brush up on your skills a little bit or you are being forced to do this.

if you said to me what would you buy a vita or a 3ds i would have to go with 3ds only cause theres console defining games that i like to play on it, but on a financial standpoint i would get the vita as i have psn+ for a year so i know ill have more games overall.

Since you don't understand why people can't be interested I'll do my best to explain why I'm not interested in the Vita.

Like you said most games are ports. Why would I play on a tiny little screen with poor framerate when I can play on my PC or a regular console and big screen TV?

You say "I can play anywhere" and this is true but I play games when I'm home. If I'm out of the house I have something else to do and there's no need to play games. I'd have loved it when I was a kid and my parents dragged me away from home but as an adult I've found no use for it.

It costs a lot. the cheapest vita with wifi here (Sweden) is over 270 USD. There are just too many other things I'd rather get for that money that I'd have way more use for. Then there's the memory card cost. Another $100 for 32GB... It's insane.

Ultimately: Not enough (if any) good games. There's really nothing I want to play on the vita that I can't play on PC.

Now I do like the hardware of the Vita. I'm a tech nerd and I'd love to have one but I really see no use for it.

@Saketume If you find no need for a handheld I understand. I do my vita playing in lulls between work stuck in the bush in the middle of nowhere, otherwise I would never give myself the time to play it. Really it's the only reason I play indie games, because they are great in short bursts, and dedicated gaming time at home is on bigger titles. You might like to know there's nothing wrong with it's frame rates. All fighting games on it run at 60fps, and I'm sure you know that's important for smooth fighting gameplay.

@SaketumeI have considered mobile gaming devices but when I really stop and think about it, I don't play games outside of home either.

However, someone like Tom working in the gaming press probably travels a lot and spends lots of time waiting with nothing else to do.
